About Fucking Sports!

f**king sportsFucking Sports! is a sports/comedy podcast featuring Matt Kolsky and Andrew Hopkins. It more or less functions as a forum where they (we, really, because who the fuck do you think wrote this?) can spout off about sports, talk some shit (and occasionally some bullshit) and have some fucking fun without anybody getting all up in arms or taking themselves too seriously. So hopefully you fucking like it… But if you don’t, we really don’t give a fuck and please don’t try to get on your fucking high horse about the fucked up shit that we may end up saying.…

One winter evening in San Francisco – if you can even call it winter when it’s in San Francisco [trust me, Sam Clemens was full of shit on this particular point] – Matt Kolsky and Andrew Hopkins sat at a bar. To be more specific, they sat outside, in the delightful back yard of a fancifully kitschy lesbian bar. The Oscars played on a television inside, and yet there they sat: telling stories, bickering about strategies, talking fucking sports… and from this seemingly innocent conversation, a podcast was born!

Andrew Hopkins is…

Matt Kolsky is not hindered whatsoever by a cumbersome Economics degree from Pomona College. A graduate of Evanston High School (on the northern edge of Chicago) his original career plans collapsed like his oft-sprained ankles when he was unmercilessly cut from E-Town’s basketball program – it seems even the Freshman B-Team has no use for a 5-foot-nothing small forward with limited ballhandling skills. A growth spurt and a number of years later, he’s a jack-of-all trades in the sports media – afternoon sports update anchor for KNBR 680 (San Francisco’s Sports Leader) and hosting his own show for Sports Byline Broadcast Network (Sundays, 10p-12 PT). The many sports radio hats Kolsky has worn over the years include: show host, producer, board operator, blogger, web editor and color commentator (for NBA D-League broadcasts).
