In Episode LII, Kolsky and Bonta take another drive — this time Bonta is taking Kolsky TO the airport (he’s a hell of a guy) and they discuss the Major League Baseball playoffs, the virtues of the In & Out Burger and various other subjects… And then they discussed Derek Jeter at length, but– well, you’ll see. In Episode L, Bonta picks Kolsky up at the airport and they use modern technology to record a podcast whilst traveling at speeds of up to 75mph. Topics include NFL jerseys, NBA fashion statements, Bay Area traffic patterns and domestic violence in sports, among other assorted issues… It’s a bit of a shorty, but only because it started to feel weird when the car stopped moving — two dudes parked in a driveway talking sports is something neither Kolsky nor Bonta were especially interested in being!!!

In this mini episode, Kolsky drops a solo pod to talk about a couple of tragedies and an administrative oversight. Specifically — the Tony Stewart crash that killed Kevin Ward, Jr.; the NFL’s embarrassing handling of their PED/Drug Abuse policy and how it’s effecting current drug suspensions; and the sad, premature end to the life of one of the greatest comedians in the history of the world, Robin Williams… Sure, it’s a bit of a downer, but on the bright side it includes what this humble podcaster would say is the greatest five minutes of sports-related humor ever created — and it’s reasonably short!!!

In Episode XLVIII, Kolsky and Bonta get sidetracked with a discussion of hip hop — specifically the greatest individual rappers of all time — before the podcast can really even begin, but when it does they cover the ESPY’s and talk about Ray Rice receiving a minor punishment for a major offense… As far as we know, this podcast can’t tell you where Tupac is hiding, or whether he and Elvis get along — but hey, we haven’t yet tried playing it backwards!!

In Episode XLV… … … well… … things have changed… … … …
It’s been an awfully long time since there was a new episode of Fucking Sports. Sadly the veritable podcasting dream team of Matt Kolsky and Andrew Hopkins has been semi-permanently terminated thanks to the pressures and commitments of real, adult life (Hopkins’ real, adult life, because Kolsky has very little of any of that). Whatever the reasons or inspirations, things be changin’ in the world of this podcast, and this episode represents the beginning of that shift… Kolsky is alone and unfettered for you — which, now that it’s written down, invokes memories of many events in his life (most of which were not entirely pleasant) and also begs the assurance that this should only happen the one time and is NOT the plan for the future… But, all the same…
