In Episode LIV, Kolsky and Bonta ignore their ordinary mandate to talk about national issues and go hard on the Bay Area sports scene (which admittedly has been popping up in the big time headlines lately). The Giants won the World Series, the 49ers are in a strange state of organizational turmoil, and a particular couch in the Inner Richmond district may very well soon be literally tossed out the window… This podcast comes to you LIVE (to tape) from Bonta Hill Studios, in between the Warriors beating the Rockets and Bernard Hopkins losing to Sergey Kovalev — you’ll love their topical commentary on sporting events that are more than 24 hours old!!
Enjoy!

In Episode LIII, Kolsky and Bonta are feeling ESPECIALLY Superfly (sorry, had to) and utilize their own mojo to discuss NFL quarterback play, followed by a long debate on the role of momentum and “it” factor in sports and specifically the MLB playoffs, with some Kobe Bean breakdown thrown in at the end… Neither Bonta nor Kolsky may be headed to the hall of fame, but they know their roles — they’re definitely NOT gonna hurt the team!!!
Enjoy!

In Episode LII, Kolsky and Bonta take another drive — this time Bonta is taking Kolsky TO the airport (he’s a hell of a guy) and they discuss the Major League Baseball playoffs, the virtues of the In & Out Burger and various other subjects… And then they discussed Derek Jeter at length, but– well, you’ll see. Some portions of this episode have been redacted — but as far as you know, EVERY episode is largely redacted, so just pretend you don’t even know!!!
Enjoy!

In Episode LI, Kolsky and Bonta return with some general talk about the MLB playoffs and some of their usual self-referential bullshit before a debate about Bill Simmons and his suspension at the hands of ESPN’s management takes things over down the stretch… Luckily there’s nobody overseeing this shit-show, so the boys can say whatever the hell they want without fear of suspension — in related knews, they may both be looking for work in the very near future…
Enjoy!

In Episode L, Bonta picks Kolsky up at the airport and they use modern technology to record a podcast whilst traveling at speeds of up to 75mph. Topics include NFL jerseys, NBA fashion statements, Bay Area traffic patterns and domestic violence in sports, among other assorted issues… It’s a bit of a shorty, but only because it started to feel weird when the car stopped moving — two dudes parked in a driveway talking sports is something neither Kolsky nor Bonta were especially interested in being!!!
Enjoy!

In Episode XLIX, Kolsky and Bonta share a couple moments of beautiful agreement on exciting new plans that are sure to be implemented by the NBA and NFL just as soon as representatives of those leagues give this podcast a quick listen. They also squeeze in some follow-up on the depressing topics of the past couple pods, and spend entirely too much time discussing Bonta’s personal DVR problems… But seriously folks, just wait ’til you get a load of the unanimity our brave hosts discover — teamwork makes the dream work, baby!!!
Enjoy!

In Episode XLVII, Kolsky and Bonta follow an extensive revisions and improvements with discussion of NBA free agency machinations, their own basketball exploits and some hard core stripper philosophy. You should fill up on this episode, because it’ll be another two weeks before you get the next one, and make sure you stay tuned for the special out-takes after the end credits… The new Fucking Sports duo is off and running — and we’re open to signing long-term with the Cavaliers if they’ll just take that nasty letter off of their website!!!
Enjoy!

In Episode XLVI, Kolsky introduces his new co-host, Bonta Hill… Get excited, peeps — the Fucking Sports podcast is back in full bloom!!!! After getting a little insight into the life and times of Mr. Hill (@BontaHill on twitter) they talk some about some potential plans for the podcast before diving head(er) first into the 2014 World Cup. You’ll know it’s a good fit (or at least one apropos to the history of Fucking Sports) because they only get to about half of the topics they had written down… We just know you’re going to love the new pairing — it’s always great to score a new fucking* partner!!!
Enjoy!

*’fucking’ here used for emphasis, not descriptive purposes.
In Episode XLV… … … well… … things have changed… … … …
It’s been an awfully long time since there was a new episode of Fucking Sports. Sadly the veritable podcasting dream team of Matt Kolsky and Andrew Hopkins has been semi-permanently terminated thanks to the pressures and commitments of real, adult life (Hopkins’ real, adult life, because Kolsky has very little of any of that). Whatever the reasons or inspirations, things be changin’ in the world of this podcast, and this episode represents the beginning of that shift… Kolsky is alone and unfettered for you — which, now that it’s written down, invokes memories of many events in his life (most of which were not entirely pleasant) and also begs the assurance that this should only happen the one time and is NOT the plan for the future… But, all the same…
Enjoy!!
